Frequently Asked Questions
Getting to our Redruth Clinic?
Our clinic is easy to reach whether you’re driving or using public transport. For drivers, the Flowerpot car park, a pay-and-display facility, is located almost directly opposite the clinic, and limited on-street parking on Fore Street may also be available depending on the time of day. Flowerpot carpark has free parking after 4pm for evening appointments.
If you’re using public transport, Redruth train station and the nearby bus stop are both just a 2–3 minute walk from the clinic, making it convenient to attend your injury assessment or sports massage treatment.
What to Wear to Your Injury Assessment or Sports Massage Appointment?
The nature of the profession and treatment at our Redruth physical therapy & sports injury clinic requires me to have direct contact with your skin in order to provide an effective treatment. Sports massage treatments (and injury assessment appointments depending on the nature of the problem) use a sports massage lotion as a medium which absorbs into the skin in order to avoid a ‘greasy’ feeling post treatment.
During your treatment at our Redruth clinic, I will ensure only the area being treated is uncovered, ensuring your personal privacy and dignity is respected throughout your appointment.
The preference is all yours, of arriving ready in sports kit or arriving in day clothes, where you’ll be able to change into something more appropriate in private whilst in the clinic. For females, shorts are preferred as opposed to leggings as this prevents an effective treatment. Likewise, sports bras with fancy/strappy designs could be avoided as this causes issues reaching certain muscles.
Will a Sports Massage Hurt at Our Redruth Sports Injury Clinic?
I am in frequent conversation with you to establish your pain scale / tolerance on a scale of 1–10. Your pain levels will adapt and lessen over time as your muscles and body become used to the nature of the sports massage treatment at our Redruth clinic, and any subsequent aftercare advice is followed out post treatment to allow maintenance of your own body. The sports massage treatment and injury assessment therefore will work within the proximities of what is comfortable for you
Do I Need to Be a Sports Person for a Sports Massage at Our Redruth Physical Therapy & Sports Injury Clinic?
No, you do not need to be a sports person to benefit from a sports massage or an injury assessment at our Redruth clinic. Sports massage treatments are suitable for anyone looking to improve muscle health, recover from injury, or maintain overall physical wellbeing.
How Can I Pay at our Redruth Physical Therapy & Sports Injury Clinic?

This is with the exception of 4x injury assessment & management follow-up packages and 4x sports massage packages, which are to be paid for upfront in cash in person at the clinic upon your first treatment of the block of 4.
